Engagement with local stakeholders and communities
Each construction project is unique, as is the location. We take time to understand local communities and their concerns. We’ll be visible and approachable in the community, listen to stakeholders and carry out a unique mapping exercise which informs communications, media plans and social value initiatives.
SONAR Engagement offers a full suite of communications. We’ll take a lead in the preparation, recording and distribution of community engagement materials, hand picking from a full range of communication and engagement media to ensure that the full spectrum of communities and stakeholders are engaged.
Establishing an ‘ongoing cycle of engagement’
We carry out an ongoing cycle of engagement listening to stakeholders and customers and regularly reporting on a ‘you said, we did’ basis.
We create risk-based management plans using the SARA problem solving model to identify potential issues and work with the client and management team to ensure risks, along with suitable mitigations.

We regularly review stakeholder questions and concerns along with complaints and queries from customers. We also scan open source information, such as local media and social media, this way we are able to categorise and identify key themes and areas of risk to the project.
Our successful approach utilises the SARA problem solving model. We adopt a “you said, we did” approach to communications, which helps build trusted relationships and have ongoing open conversations.
