Eco Ninjas is a small medical textile company manufacturing innovative headwear with name badges affixed.
They aim to be a trusted healthcare partner, enhancing lives through their innovative medical theatre badge hats, which improve patient safety, enhance teamwork, reduce hierarchical barriers, improve staff morale, and the patient experience.
Sonar was asked to work with Eco Ninjas as a new supplier to the NHS to create a Social Value strategy in preparation for achieving level 2 and above of the Evergreen Assessment and ensuring quality submission when bidding for contracts.
Strategy
To Understand the Eco Ninjas their roles, motivation, mission and vision.
To complete a social value gap analysis to understand where the Eco Ninjas are regarding their current understanding of social value, what policies and practices do they have in place.
Ran a series of workshops to:
- Fill gaps identified in the gap analysis to ensure Eco Ninjas are in a strong position to achieve above level 1 of the Evergreen Assessment.
- Ensure Eco Ninjas understand why social value features in public procurement the benefits to society and what is required as an NHS supplier.
- Provide tools for Eco Ninjas to leverage social value to gain a competitive advantage.
Outcome
Eco Ninjas have a robust social value strategy to implement across their business and provides them with firm foundations to build on as they become a valued NHS supplier.
Eco Ninjas have all the relevant policies and procedures in place to achieve above level 1 of the Evergreen Assessment from a social value perspective.
Eco Ninjas have connected with a community they are running a trial of their product with and are now confident and competent in community engagement. Why they have identified the social value options for that community with a full understanding of how this benefits society and places them in a strong competitive position moving forward.
