Bernie has over 25 years’ experience in stakeholder and community engagement, having spent nearly 20 years at National Highways and 7 years at Waterman Aspen.
Bernie has been involved in planning, communicating and delivering stakeholder management activities for large infrastructure projects. Sectors include the strategic highways, local roads, buses, water and rail, providing engagement and communication advice to project teams, supply chain colleagues and other key stakeholders.
Bernie works to improve public awareness of small and large-scale infrastructure schemes, by building trust and understanding with communities and the wider public. This interaction helps communities to understand project objectives, local, economic, and social value benefits, through effective communication and engagement.
Bernie is also a qualified FA Grassroots Football Coach with over 20 years’ experience. Bernie is currently coaching Bedford Park Rangers U14 team in the Chiltern Youth Football Sunday League.
